Coronavirus Information

To our valued patients and friends,

As you probably know by now the current strain of coronavirus, or COVID-19 is circulating through our community. All of us here are very concerned about the well being of our patients and families. This pandemic is threatening to overwhelm and collapse our health care system if we do not take action to reduce the spread of the virus through social distancing and proper hygiene practices.

Dentistry in particular is a very high-risk field for the spread of germs and viruses. Cleanings, fillings, crowns, and many of the other treatments we perform in our office require the use of high-speed handpieces, cavitrons, and air-water sprays that generate aerosolized particles and can travel from person to person. It is for this reason that Dr. Todd Yoshino will cancel all elective dental treatment until May 18, 2020. This is in accordance with the Washington State mandate, ordered by Governor Jay Inslee.

We will be available to treat dental emergencies only and to finish urgent cases that we have already started. If you have an appointment scheduled during the dates from 3/16/30 -5/14/20, please know that we will need to reschedule your appointment.

Many of you already heard from us via phone or text message today, and those of you that did not, please know that we will be reaching out to attempt to reschedule.

During this time, if you need to be seen for an emergency, please call our normal phone number (253)815-0441 and if there is not someone in the office to answer your call, there will be instructions on the message how to contact Dr. Yoshino.

Please know, we will be here to help and your calls are not a nuisance. Do not hesitate to call!

If you have any cold or flu symptoms or an elevated temperature, we will find a solution that does not require you to come to our office.

If you do come to our office, we will be taking normal infection control precautions as well as screening people's temperature prior to being seen. We will also be asking everyone to swish with a solution of 1% hydrogen peroxide and wash their hands before being seated in one of our treatment rooms.

We will be happy to reschedule your appointment with no penalties.
